Originating in Germany, Schafkopf was brought to the states and renamed as Sheepshead. The trick taking game can be played with two to eight players. There are a variety of ways to play this game, with some being completely different renditions of the game. Most versions are played with diamonds as trump the queen of clubs as top trump.
This version of Sheepshead is a five handed game, placing you against four computer players. You have the choice to play leaster or force-draw as well as different options for partner selection. There are variable speeds for gameplay; fast enough for the player that wants it instead and slow enough for the player that wants to watch the cards get played. You can also select a different background. A common background like blue or gray is selectable or go with a classic hunting cabin style with a 60’s or 70’s table cloth background.
